Our expertise limits
the number of repeat visits and corrective measures, thereby reducing excessive cost to the insurance
provider.

When a patient is referred for treatment requiring either a prosthetic or orthotic device, it is imperative they be sent to a provider offering the most competent services possible. Certified members of CAPO are highly trained experts, having met the highest standards set out by the Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists (CBCPO).

To become certified and to receive the appropriate designations from the Canadian Board For Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists (CBCPO), certified members of CAPO have undergone in-depth clinical and technical training as well as an intensive internship, followed by a national certification exam. You can also be confident when referring to a certified practitioner that they are up to date in today’s latest technology through mandatory professional development and ongoing certification requirements.

A certified CAPO professional will ensure the treatment prescribed is an integral part of any overall medical evaluation and will participate as a key member of the medical team. This expertise limits the number of repeat visits and corrective measures, thereby reducing excessive cost to the insurance provider. When using a certified orthotist or prosthetist, the prescription is filled correctly the first time, with consideration being given for long-term, effective results.

As professionals, we are constantly striving to improve our treatment levels and the design of orthotic or prosthetic devices to ensure effective results for all our patients.
